All the rooms at the Shackup Inn Reserved? Don't want to miss out on the culture of Clarksdale?

Contact alan.leduc@gmail.com for reservations October 17 & 18, 2008

You rent the whole House for $300 per night.

1 King Size Bed and 2 Twins with Shared bath.

1 Double Bed with private bath.

The Big Pink Guest House is less than a block away from the Ground Zero Blues Club where Friday, October 17th's event will be held. The MTF is providing shuttle service from the Big Pink House on Saturday, so if you want to partake in adult beverages there will be no conflict with riding.

Guests can let the good times roll in the New Orleans-inspired atrium where they can relax to the soothing sounds of the three-tiered waterfall and a Steinway Baby Grand. The second floor is divided into two private areas, both of which comfortably accommodate two adults.

The Eudora suite has a king size bed and an additional room, The Writer's room, is available with two twin beds if needed. The Eudora suite, named for famed writer & photographer Eudora Welty, has cable TV, a cd player, a coffee maker, refrigerator, as well as a private bath complete with a huge marble tub, separate shower and a private staircase leading to the main entry/foyer. The second suite of the second floor, Stella, is in homage to Tennessee Williams and his great work A Street Car Named Desire. It has a double bed with private bath, as well as it's own spiral stair case leading to the courtyard. Amenities also include cable TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a cd player. Relax and visit in the Victorian parlor or stroll out onto our side patio to experience the many events hosted on the Blues Museum's outdoor stage.

A small, yet comfortable, dining room is great for a private dinner. Professional catering can be arranged with prior notice. Just let us know and we will bring any event to life.

All of our guests (reserved and public) have access to the Big Pink kitchen completely equipped with a stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator as well as a den area with comfortable seating and a separate television with cable. In addition to overnight accommodations, Big Pink is your perfect setting for private parties, weddings, receptions and meetings of all types.

Next door to Big Pink is the Mississippi Music Hall. This is an old farm Commissary moved in from Webb Mississippi in December 2004. The main room has a big screen T.V. with cable, a 1959 Seeburg Juke Box, a 1959 Coca Cola box, refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker along with a high speed internet connection. All nine of the upper windows have been fitted with blue glass that adds a perfect glow to the Blues Alley venue.

At the rear of the Music Hall is the stained glass entrance to the Isla Mujeres suite using colors and a bath room sink found at this small island off the coast of Cancun. It has a queen size bed, huge shower and a tin roofed indoor outhouse with modern facilities.

Also off to the side of the Music Hall is Odie's room which is named after famed hit country songwriter Odie Blackmon who stays here on his writing trips to the Mississippi Delta. It has a double bed and a private bath with shower stall.

In addition we offer the ultimate in privacy and seclusion in Nickï's Place. This one bedroom apartment with a private bath sits on the Sunflower River one mile from Big Pink. It has a double bed, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave over and a vintage Fender Rhodes piano. Nick's Place is named for famed blues tracker Nick Travers from the series of books Ace Atkins has written. When Nick is not in town we will open the doors for you if you want absolute privacy.
