While we're not offering the traditional 50CC/100CCC in 2007, we decided to offer a similar and more challenging version of the 50CC. The 50CC Quest Gold covers roughly three-thousand miles in 50 hours. While not a requirement, most complete the ride between New York City and San Francisco or vice-versa. And that's what we're doing. The 50CC NYC-SFO will be a challenge even for seasoned LD riders. Due to the intensity of this ride we will only be offering it one way. This allows riders to travel to or from the ride at a leisurely pace.

In addition to the 50CC from New York to San Francisco we are also offering a Saddlesore 3000 for anyone interested in the same distance challenge with a little more time.

Ride Prerequisites:

Rules for the 50CC Quest are located on the Iron Butt site at:
and the SS3000 rules are located at:

50CC Riders:  If you decide to bail on a ride, the MTF always offers to certify the longest IBA ride completed. In the case of the 50CCTHW, the fastest route through Chicago is only 2900 miles so the longest optional ride certified would be a SS3000. The SS3000 folks will be making three mandatory stops which bypasses Chicago. You might want to consider this route as an option.
