This loop will have you riding in four different States: Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.
It begins and ends with a a run over Lolo Pass. You'll make a loop around the Hell's Canyon National Recreation Area, and ride through the Wallowa Mountains. You'll travel through Joseph, Oregon, down OR 82 and Forest Rd. 39, which oregonmotorcyclist.com calls " ... one of the best rides in Oregon" (yes, it's paved).
You return back to Lolo Pass via the beautiful U.S. 95, on the east side of Hell's Canyon.
West on U.S. 12 through Lewiston, ID to Clarkston, WA - South on WA 129, which becomes OR 3, and then take OR 82 into Joseph - South on Forest Rd. 39 to OR 86 - East on OR 86, which becomes ID 71, to U.S. 95 - North on U.S. 95 to Grangeville - East on ID 13 to Kooskia - East on U.S. 12 to Lolo.
