It is with heavy hearts that my family announces the passing of Captain Robert F. Rehkopf Sr.
Robert, a fun, lively, and loud, husband, father, friend, PawPaw and patriot, was well-known for his love of riding motorcycles across the country, or to a place 200 miles away for lunch. He gave 36 of his years to military service, starting in the Marines and ending as a Captain in the Navy—a Seabee through and through.

Robert was awarded the MTF Argonaut Award in 2016.

I cant believe another of our group who went to Alaska has taken the last ride. I know what a good time we had with all who went. It just seems so sad that this has to happen. Robert and I had many great conversations on our trip. RIP Robert

--- Mike Newton (grizz)
I knew he was in declining health but even the last time I saw him in Memphis he was excited about the next event he was going to attend. I think he squeezed every bit out of the life he had.

--- David Clark
Wow, that is really sad to hear. I always liked Robert.

--- Jason Jonas
Really sad news. I don't recall one time when he wasn't eager to talk, eager to learn, eager to simply be involved in the moment. And always with a smile.
I know he was a man of faith and I know he's in a better place. RIP.
