Born in Blakely, Georgia, to the late Quinton Grubbs, Sr. and Virginia Horne Grubbs, Quinton was a graduate of Valdosta State University. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a minor in Physics. It was during his time in Valdosta where he met the love of his life, that became his loving wife of 48 ½ years, Wanda Ezell Grubbs. Quinton retired after 20 years of service from the United States Air Force where he proudly served as a navigator and a pilot. After his time in the service he worked several odd jobs to keep busy, some included being a firearms dealer, and working on pay phones when they were in operation. He was a Deacon and the Treasurer of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church. One of Quinton’s favorite hobbies was riding his motorcycle, where Quinton and his wife, Wanda, visited all the lower 48 states. But Quinton’s greatest joy in life came from his family.

Quinton was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his son, Stephen Grubbs. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda Grubbs, Daughter; Janiece Dukes (Philip), Six grandchildren; Laura Beth, Joshua, Rebekah, Samuel, Benjamin and David Dukes. As well as one sister, Frankie Sue Coker.
