Official Obituary

Mr. John Luther Picklesimer, age 70 of Carrollton, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019. He was born on December 6, 1948 to the late Luther Picklesimer and the late Euwilda Owens Picklesimer. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Dottie Crews and Jeanette Picklesimer; one brother, Stanley Picklesimer and one grandchild Aaron Kilby.

Survivors include his wife Linda Jean Rose Picklesimer of Carrollton; three daughters, Yolanda (Joe) Hitt of Bowdon, Jacki (Shannon) Gillespie of Colorado and Jenni Kilby of Chattanooga, TN; one son, John (Susan) Picklesimer of Grayson; one sister, Kathy Bale of Franklin, NC; five grandchildren, Zach (Kate) Picklesimer, Cadye Picklesimer, Calleigh Hitt, Zoe Hitt, Dylan Kilby and one great grandchild, Miles Picklesimer; his beloved dogs Bridgett and Molly and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

In keeping with Mr. Picklesimer’s wishes he will be cremated.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations to be made to Hickory Level Hound Rescue using paypal.me/hlhrescue.

Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan has charge of the arrangements.
