Sad to hear. Dave was a good guy. He was notorious for his adventures on his old Honda 'The Deerslayer' ... Met him a couple of times. Enjoyed the brief chats. RIP Dave ...

Dave had a couple of Deer Slayers, when I met him he was riding Deerslayer II  later he bought a 2012 Wing and then went on to use it to slay another deer in British Columbia.  lol

This is sad news indeed!  I only met Dave in person a few times, but followed his adventures and posts on the MTF for a long time.  He was one of my heroes.

RIP Chief Nelson. We did the Mississippi River Iron Butt ride. 1631 miles in under 24 hours. Chief is the last guy on the right.
