Announcement

Cliff Hick

Neily Dolson posted this on our Facebook page:

I can’t believe I’m writing this ….
My (our) good friend Cliff Hick has passed away. I don’t have any details to share, just a note on his Facebook page from his daughter.
Cliff and I spent many thousands of miles travelling together. He had absolutely the best internal gps and trips with him were always full of untold adventures. In the early days of the GWN Tour Cliff was my partner in planning and executing the trips. No one else ever duct taped stones to the visor on his helmet to keep it from flipping up.
Memories are a blessing.
RIP

Cliff became a MTF Gold Member in August 2004. Click here for the announcement.

Comments from Cliff's MTF Friends:

I remember him at Moonshine several years driving up to Terry's place. One night at Richard's he kindly swapped a Canadian five dollar bill for a U S one for me, it had spent many months in my wallet.

--- Patrick Jacobson
Holy Hannah! Cliff Hick was truly one of THE good guys. I've always enjoyed our online conversations and banter. Total sympathies from The House of Flamingo to his family. May his memory be a blessing.

--- Jason Jonas
When it comes to being O-G, Cliff was as O as the G ever had. When I think back to the old Delphi forum days, Cliff always seemed to be lurking, waiting for the right time to contribute. He was a guardian of the respect, inclusiveness and tolerance the MTF was famous for back then. The MTF would have been entirely different without him. My prayers for peace, comfort and understanding for his family and friends. RIP, Cliff Hick.

I am deeply saddened by this news. Cliff definitely was a pillar in the MTF world. We were better because of him.

Very sad news.

Sad to hear this news. Cliff introduced me to my first IBA Ride as we did the Lake Huron 1000 together back in 2011. Did a lot of riding with Cliff over the years. He was Mr Motorcycle for the London Ontario area, setting up the route and leading the annual Christmas Toy Ride for many many years; working with organizers for the London Motorcycle Show when that used to be a thing; and bringing together riders from across various local riding clubs to partake in Cliff's weekly Ice Cream rides. And all his various back-road lunch rides over the years. Truly a leader and mentor for anyone who knew him. He will be missed. RIP Cliff.

very sad news, Cliff was a great member of the MTF……

I saw this on Cliff Hick Facebook link but it was not clear to me that it was Cliff who had passed. Cliff was an early member of the MTF and I always enjoyed talking to him on the occasions we had to meet in person. Cliff was honored as a Gold Member in 2004. As we are past the 20 year mark of the forum, many of my friends are reaching the age of sunset. Sorry to hear about Cliff. Best wishes to his families as they deal with his passing.

    Rest In Peace Cliff!
