Have you ever thought about how first responders might learn about you in the unfortunate event that you have an accident and incapacitated? Well, we have a solution for you, one that serves this purpose and can act as a nifty name tag at MTF functions to help keep everyone’s names straight.

Cyclegadgets.com has for years offered emergency info tags free to their customers. A few years ago an MTF idea was spawned to build on this program and offer members of the MTF a tag they could carry with them whenever they travel that could offer first responders vital medical information in the event it is required. Accidents happen. We don't like to think it will happen to us, or we might be injured, but it's best to be prepared. In the unfortunate event you are involved in a motorcycle accident a waterproof and colorful tag to attract the attention of emergency personnel could save a life and that is what we have. The tags are free to MTF Members who have at least 50 posts and for their passenger when requested with the members tag. Replacement tags may be purchased for $5.00 each.
I wear my tag on a lanyard around my neck every time I leave the house on the motorcycle. I figure it would be easy for first responders to find it. We have had an actual report of a member who suffered an accident who simply handed the tag to ER staff and many of their questions were answered. How simple and easy is that?

The tag also can act as a great name tag at MTF events. Your screen name and real name as well as your home town are printed in bold type on one side and can help make you more identifiable to folks at any of our numerous gatherings. How many times have you read on the forum where folks missed meeting each other because they didn’t know names and got lost in the crowd so to speak.
Sign up for the program, be safe, give your spouse or best friend some extra peace of mind knowing you carry your vital med-emerg info with you always. Help your MTF friends to meet your and know your name. It’s easy and simple, just got to MTF Emergency Tags webpage and follow the instructions to fill out the form.
I don’t leave home without mine, I hope that you start doing the same.
